Content Goes Global: A Coaching Programme for Creative Talent
In spring 2026, Business Oulu commissioned Media Minds to run Content Goes Global, a four-day training programme for the region's audiovisual and creative content professionals. The goal was direct: give participants the tools to evaluate their own IP, content, or business model against the realities of the international market.
Riina Kullas, CEO of Fremantle Finland and a member of Fremantle's Northern Europe leadership team, brought over 20 years of experience taking content from idea to international distribution. Tatu Petersen-Jessen, formerly Senior Art Director at Rovio Entertainment, brought a games industry perspective built inside one of Finland's best-known studios. For four days, Oulu's creative professionals worked session by session directly with both of them on their own IP and business models.
22 participants took part, drawn from across the region's creative industries: 45 percent from the audiovisual sector, 32 percent from games, and the rest building other scalable content, from comics to characters to YouTube formats. Some were just getting started, others were already running their own companies and selling internationally.
The programme closed with a final pitch session. Participants presented their concepts to Riina Kullas and, joining remotely, Henrik Biskjaer, Head of Acquisition and Development at Fremantle Media, whose job is finding formats that work everywhere. Each pitch got direct, specific feedback: what made the concept scalable, what needed sharper definition, and what the international market would actually ask for.
Hanna Salonen walked the full journey with the group, structuring the programme, facilitating the sessions, and keeping the process moving from the first market overview to the final pitch. This is the model Media Minds keeps building: practical, structured programmes that put creative professionals in the room with people who work at the international level, not just people who talk about it.
