On November 4, 2024, Film in Finland, the Norwegian Film Commission, and the Swedish Institute brought the Nordics to LA. The Producing in the Nordics Mixer was held at the Finnish Consul General's residence in Bel Air, with over 110 industry guests attending, including 40 representatives from studios and production companies like Netflix, Amazon Studios, Marvel Studios, and Lionsgate.
Hanna Salonen coordinated the event for the three Nordic partners, working across three countries and their LA consulates to make sure the Nordics showed up as one clear, compelling region rather than three separate pitches. The evening combined keynote speeches, company showcases, and live music by Tuomo & Markus, giving studio decision-makers a direct, relaxed setting to engage with Nordic production strengths: competitive incentives, advanced technology, and crews that know how to deliver.
Los Angeles is where production decisions get made.
